Baffle curtains for drinking-water reservoirs
Baffle curtains are used in drinking-water reservoirs to increase the water’s residence time. Baffle curtain design is specific to each reservoir, and is dictated by how long the water must remain in contact with the chemicals used in the treatment process.
The baffle curtains are mechanically anchored in the drinking-water reservoir. They may include flow-through windows, reinforcing patches and sleeves for the installation of anchoring systems and tensioning components.
The geomembranes and the stainless steel hardware used in this type of curtain must be NSF-61 (NSF/ANSI/CAN-61) approved. The geomembrane is assembled by thermoplastic fusion in our plant and the baffle curtain arrives ready for deployment at the site.
We stock NSF-61 reinforced polypropylene geomembrane.
