Position and marker buoys
Terraquavie offers a full range of these navigation aids. Different types may be used: lateral, cardinal and special buoys. When needed, buoys may be equipped with retroreflective material, or lights in the case of buoy lights.
Function
When curtains, booms or other items are deployed in navigable waters, marking the work area with visual navigation aids is generally safer, and often mandatory.
Standards
Buoys comply with the standards of the Canadian Coast Guard’s Canadian Aids to Navigation System (TP 968) and Transport Canada’s Owner’s Guide to Private Buoys (TP 14799E).
